How Much Money Can You Earn As An Affiliate?
You will make up to $25 for each "conversion" that you refer. A "conversion" is internet marketing speak for a sale. It's important to realize you only get paid when you refer a sale! This is why it's so important to send targetted traffic and to "pre-sell" the prospective customer on the value of this diet (and this diet program really does work. I also believe it to be a far better product than most CB products as far as quality & originality.)
An Example:
If you refer just 4 sales per day you would earn over $35,000 a year! It's easy to see how being an affiliate for this product could literally be your full time job.
If you become a true "super affiliate" and send 8 sales a day you would earn over $70,000 a year!
We will not pretend that it is easy to make 8 sales a day, but it is not impossible either if you work hard (and smart) you can do it. The dieting market is absolutely huge which means there's really very little limit on how much money you can make as our affiliate. HOW TO PROMOTE TDOD?
There are many ways to promote TDOD (please note that I use this acronym on this page as I don't want it to show up in the search results for a brand name search. This page is for affiliates, not for customers.) One thing that we want to emphasize is the importance of "pre-selling" visitors on our diet plan before you send them to our website. If you send them directly you could still make some sales but your conversion rates will almost definitely be much lower.
Whether you are spending your money (PPC) or spending your time (SEO) you don't want to waste your resources. The best way to get a high return on your investment is to convince your visitors that they need this program before they even get to our page. It's a mistake to rely on the vendor's sales page to do all of your selling.
My personal favorite way to promote TDOD (and anything else I promote as an internet marketer) is article marketing (with a focus on link building for high quality SERPS traffic) which is why I've now set up this step by step guide to article marketing.
CREATING YOUR OWN PRE-SELL LANDING PAGE
There are many different marketing methods that we'll be going over here, but what they all have in common is that you'll want to be sending your traffic first to your own landing page and then to our salesletter. Do not make the mistake of direct linking, you will have better success by creating your own pre-sell landing page/site!
Types Of Landing Pages
#1 Product Reviews.
Product review landing pages are definitely highly recommended. There are two major categories of review pages. One focuses just on one product and the other ranks products (usually 3 to 5.) I've found the ranking method to be more effective, but both work. To see an example of the "ranking method" - Click here.
The basic formula is to choose 3 to 5 clickbank products in a niche (3 is plenty and it will be less work that way, so I suggest 3.) and then rank them 1 through 3 as seen on the example page. Try to keep it positive as you will probably get some sales for your #2 and #3 ranked products as well.
You can host these product reviews on your own domain/webhost (BlueHost is recommended for webhosting, this website is hosted by them.) which is great for those who really want to build up a long term presence on the web or on a site like Squidoo.com or Hubpages.com which work well for those who want to get started fast & cheap (they are free to use.) You can also include product reviews on a blogger blog with a free blogger account.
You may want to use some of our graphics on your product review page.
#2 Squidoo/Hubpages/Wetpaint
Squidoo and Hubpages are the most popular sites of their kind. Wetpaint is another site of this type that I've had success with. They are easy to get started with and you can often "piggyback" on their good standing with Google to get better search engine rankings than you could on your own site.
The downsides? You may lose a lot of visitors to distractions as there are many distractions on sites like these (other links & other ads.) Another issue is that Hubpages only allows 2 links which isn't as many as you'll probably want to include.
You only have so much control over these landing pages. There's also a lot of competition.
#3 Niche Blog (WordPress or Blogger)
You can create a blog about a certain subject (dieting/losing weight/fitness are good ideas for promoting this diet) and supply a lot of good original information about a subject and of course you can constantly be promoting this diet program while you do it! You can include plenty of banners for one thing, but you should also include links and try to sell it a bit within your blog posts.
You can create a blog on a free platform like Blogger's blogspot site or you can use WordPress (or blogger) to host a blog on your own domain (use BlueHost as your webhost) which is highly recommended but you will need to be more technically advanced to do it.
#4 Revator
If you are a PPC marketer then Revator is an option as well. You can use their premade landing page for TDOD (You will see it listed on the right.)
You could actually use Revator as an SEO marketer too because you could use their review page to help you "pre-sell" the diet plan to the potential customer on their way to the salesletter. For example you could try to "SEO Up" a squidoo landing page for a great keyword phrase like "lose weighgt fast" and then instead of linking directly to TDOD homepage, you could link to the Revator review page. It may be a good idea to at least test it and see what works best.
The big advantages in going this route are the saved time and the lack of distracting links/ads (like you get with Squidoo & Hubpages) as well as the professionally written copy that may be better than yours. CLICK HERE TO learn more about it. It's pretty easy to figure out and it's free.
How should I link to the salesletter?
Make sure you always link to the salesletter using your special clickbank referral url with your clickbank ID otherwise you will not get credit for any of the sales you refer!

How do cloak my link?
This isn't as important in this niche as it may be in other niches but you may still wish to "cloak" or "hide" your link. That's perfectly fine. And we've actually found that if you use the method below to redirect links you can get that "redirect" page indexed in the search engines too which is kind of nice.
Create a totally blank html page and then paste the following into it:
Make sure you add your own clickbank ID and then Save the page as something like "buydod.html" and then link to that page instead of to the clickbank url.
HOW TO GET TRAFFIC TO MY LANDING PAGE?
Once you've got a landing page, the next step is getting people to your landing page so you can pre-sell them on TDOD and make some sales!
#1 Pay Per Click (PPC)
Advertising with PPC effectively is a complicated science that I cannot possibly cover in it's entirety here. It's possible to make a lot of money with this affiliate program (and other affiliate programs of course) with PPC but it's also possible to lose a lot of money with PPC if you don't know what you are doing.
It's not a good idea to just "wing it" if you are a newcomer to PPC, as you will most likely fail miserably and lose lots of money with little results. You should instead invest some money in PPC Coach so you can know what you are doing. The investment will most likely be more than worth it in the long run.

How About The AdWords Content Network?
I used to think the content network was a waste of time with traffic that was impossible to convert at a good percentage but then I read Adwords 180. It completely changed how I look at the content network. I think it's truly a revolutionary concept. #2 Article Marketing
This is an excellent way to build links back to your landing pages which can help you to gain good rankings in the search engines (which in turn can bring you a lot of targetted traffic.)
You will have more success if you consider keyword research when you title your articles (don't worry about stuffing your article full of your chosen keywords but get the title right!) The simple way to think about it is: Title your article something that someone would actually be searching for. You should also consider: "Would the person searching for this keyword term be interested in buying what I'm selling?"
An example of using keywords intelligently is to make a landing page with the title "Lose Weight Fast" and it's all about how this diet is the best way to lose weight fast (it actually really is too, which should make you feel good about marketing it!) and then you can write articles titled "Lose Weight Fast" and link back to your landing page titled "Lose Weight Fast" with a link with the anchor text "Lose Weight Fast."
At the same time - you should be cautious not to link back to your page with the exact same anchor text each time. Change it up a little bit.
I used to recommend keyword software (that was *not* free) but I've found now that Google's free keyword tool is all I really need.
Where To Submit My Articles?
EZineArticles.com is free to use and it's articles can rank well in the search engines which can lead to direct traffic to your landing page.
ArticleMarketingAutomation.com doesn't have any rules about being promotional and you can include 3 links per article. Another very cool thing about it is that you can submit an unlimited amount of articles and you can include your links in the body of the article rather than in just the resource box.
UniqueArticleWizard.com is a great tool if you want to get really serious with SEO. You can get tons of backlinks with one article. It will take awhile to submit an article due to the amount of spinning you have to do.
ArticleRanks.com is another good article marketing submission service. It's set up a lot like Article Marketing Automation but it's a bit less expensive.
FreeTrafficSystem.com can be used for free (as it's name makes obvious) although you'll get more bang for your buck as a paying member (extra links back to your landing page.)
ISnare.com may end up actually being the cheapest article distribution service because you can pay per article and for most people that will end up being cheaper than paying the monthly dues with the above three services. No spinning with this service.
Personally I use all of these tools in combination.
My main strategy is using Magic Article Rewriter to write/spin an article just once so that it can be distributed via Unique Article Wizard, ArticleRanks, Free Traffic System, & Article Marketing Automation. This leverages my time so I can build 4 times as many links in about the same amount of time. This strategy is very highly recommended. This strategy will cost you a little bit of money to implement (monthly fees for the article distribution services and a one time price for buying Magic Article Rewriter) but I think it's definitely worth it.

It's a good idea to use multiple link building techniques so you have a wider more "natural" looking link profile. I believe it's worth spending a little bit of money if it greatly leverages your time for better results and that's what these article submission services do.
#3 Forum Marketing
This method means signing up for forums related to your niche (in this case dieting/weight loss etc) and then including a link back to your landing pages in your signature. Be careful not to be "spammy" with your posts as you'll just get banned. Be a real helpful member of the forum and then you won't get banned and people will be more interested in clicking on the links in your signature!
Don't bother with forums that won't let you include a link in your signature.
#4 USFREEADS
For $9.99/month you can put up as many ads as you want. The nice thing about these ads is that they are ads and you can be as promotional as you want which is not the case with articles, EZineArticles & ISnare can be quite touchy about the amount of promotional language you can use in your articles. Another good thing about USFreeAds is that your ads can rank quite well in the search engines without too much effort. You can link directly to a product or to one of your other landing pages with USFREEADS.
There are other classified ad sites that you can add your ads to as well but I haven't had any success with them, I recommend only using this one so you do not waste time!
#5 Blog Commenting
You have to be very careful with this strategy. We do not encourage spamming. If you leave comments on blogs you must leave a comment that is actually related to what the blogger has written about, if it's incoherent then it'll just be considered spam and it'll be deleted anyway. You should also only use this strategy if you have a blog of your own to link back to. Most bloggers do not like comments which link back to obviously commercial sites/pages.
A great way to find blogs to comment on is Google's blog search.
#6 Social Bookmarking
You can try SocialMarker.com to make posting to social bookmarking sites like Digg.com & Propeller.com faster.
#7 YouTube Videos
You can create videos that promote TDOD in some way (get creative!) and upload them to YouTube. Put your website in the description area.
You don't even need a video camera to create a video, you can use a "slideshow" technique with a few pictures instead.
A great feature of Article Marketing Automation is that you can include YouTube videos with each of your articles. This can be a very effective way of making your YouTube videos rank highly targeted keywords so you get more traffic from them.
#8 Banner Advertising
We've got banners in almost every size for you to use, click here to see them. There are many places to advertise via banners including AdWords & AdBrite. You can also try direct banner advertising (ie contacting sites directly about putting a banner on their site) sometimes you can get much better deals doing this and you may be able to get some SEO benefit from it that way as well.
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION?
All of the methods listed above (except for PPC & Banner Advertising) will help your landing page's SEO by creating incoming links which should help your site show up higher in the search results. Thus methods 2 through 7 are not only for the direct traffic potential but also for the long term SEO potential.
I do not recommend worrying about things like "keyword density" when thinking about SEO. These days SEO is basically about two things: LINKS & your title tag. You need to make sure your title tag has the keywords you want to show up for in it. And you should also try to link to your site with those keywords.

SIMPLE & FREE STEP BY STEP METHOD
Are you an affiliate marketing beginner and you're not sure where to start with marketing TDOD and you don't want to spend any money? If so then we've set up this simple step by step method for you to follow.
#1 Sign up with Clickbank.com as an affiliate.
#2 Make a DOD review landing page on Squidoo.com, Hubpages.com, Wordpress.com, Wetpaint.com, and/or Blogger. Title it something like "Lose Weight Fast With TDOD." (You can use Google's free Keyword "sandbox" to get good keyword ideas.) Use our graphics & banners to spice up your review! You can start off with just one landing page or you can go ahead and make 2 or 3. You could make many different landing pages that focus on different keywords! For example one would be "Lose Weight Fast With TDOD" and another would be "Weight Watchers Vs. TDOD" (please note that you should never use the TDOD acronym, you should spell out the brand name. As I mentioned earlier I don't use the full brand name on this page as it's not a page I particularly want customers looking at. This is a page for affiliates, not for customers.)
It may be a good idea to focus on solving people's problems. For example you could make a landing page with the title "How To Lose Weight Fast."
#3 Sign up with EZineArticles.com
#4 Write articles about dieting & weight loss with a link back to your landing page(s) in your resource area. It would be best to make two landing pages (for example one on Squidoo & one on Hubpages) so that you can use both of the links that EZineArticles allows you. Submit the article!
#5 Once the article is "live" (online) use SocialMarker.com to "social bookmark" your article.
#6 Repeat steps #4 & #5 over and over again! The more articles you write the more chances you have to make sales. You can also create as many landing pages as you want if you want to try for more keyword variations. It's a good idea to go for "long tail" keywords rather than very basic ones like "diet" and "weight loss." The idea is that there is much more competition for simple keyword phrases and they are also not as targeted. Remember you want to use keywords that someone who is a likely buyer of TDOD would use!
Invest Some Money For Superior Results
If you have the money then I do recommend buying Magic Article Rewriter and signing up with Article Marketing Automation, Unique Article Wizard, Article Ranks, and ISnare.
